Blackboard - Adding the Research Help Button

The KU Libraries staff have created a page full of helpful links for students. We suggest that you include a navigation button in your Blackboard site called Research Help that takes students to this page. (If you've recently requested a new course site, it should already be included.)

Here's how to add this to your site --

1. On the Control Panel, click on Manage Course Menu
2. Then click on Add External Link
3. Where it asks for the area name, type Research Help
4. In the Target field, type or cut-and-paste http://www.lib.ku.edu/research/
5. Put a checkmark beside Launch in a new window, and make sure that Make Available for Student/Participant Users is also checked
6. Click on Submit. That's it!
