Staff Development Committee Charges: SDC's charges were submitted early. CCEB will meet with LFA Exec. on Monday, 10/14 in order to work out the joint committee official charges.

Provost's Town Meeting for Classified Staff: Seemed to closely follow the format of the Provost's slide show from an earlier meeting. These slides may be found on the Provost's website for comparison.

Meeting with Sandy Gilliland:
Classified Employee of the Year Award: CCEB recommends that CEYA adopt new nominating form and freeze all other changes to established processes for one year.
KULSA: Sandy will send to the library staff the agenda from the meeting over the future of KULSA along with her notes on this topic. This mailing will be open to comment. However, the Dean reserves the final decision regarding KULSA's future for herself, by dint of her authority over the manner in which staff may spend work time.

Instruction Council Report: IC is considering a joint project with Diversity Committee concerning establishing a workshop for staff on learning styles. On Oct. 22 from 1-2:30, IC will sponsor a discussion on BlackBoard, E-Reserves, and Xanedu with Nancy Burich and Susan Zvacek (Instructional Development and Support). This is to inform staff how these products work and how we can work together to plan for the future use of these products.

Planning & Resource Committee: The Dean has encouraged PRC to organize a staff meeting to discuss the budget and display a budget summary.
