Nancy Hawkins, Jayhawk of the Month for June 2010
Rita Wilson, Jayhawk of the Month in May 2010 said she found it difficult to choose the next recipient from such a wide array of deserving staff members.
"I’ve never heard anything but kind words spoken about any co-worker," Rita said.
"They are all appreciated immensely, but my choice for this month’s Jayhawk award is someone who has endured much and endeared many, and will continue to do sowith that constant “steady and ready” attitude: Nancy Hawkins."
"I was surprised, nay, even shocked! I definitely thought Rita was talking about someone else," Nany said.
"The process is interesting, in that your peer chooses the next recipient, and that makes it different from a committee choice."
