Snapshot Day Comments
Return to Snapshot Day at Anschutz Library.
“Most of my classes incorporate group projects into the curriculum now—the library is vital to these projects in terms of resources and provides an ideal place to meet.”
“I wish there were more group study rooms available with chalk/whiteboards available.”
KU Libraries respond: We are planning to create more versatile study areas featuring moveable whiteboards and A/V equipment in the new Learning Studio, opening in the Fall of 2010 in Anschutz Library.
“I feel like I live here.”
“Reference desk has always been very helpful. Keep up the good work.”
“I depend on the library almost every week day. Without the library I would not get through my classes”
“Students need to be reminded that while studying in the quiet area, they need to be quiet. Thank you!”
KU Libraries respond: We are continuing to work on noise in the libraries to ensure all our patrons have a good working environment. If you have concerns about noise, you can text or IM a librarian through our Ask a Librarian service, or ask for help at the service desk. For details about our noise policy, visit http://www.lib.ku.edu/noise/.
“Anschutz is a fun place to study and see familiar faces.”
“The ‘jungle’ is great but new chairs would be appreciated; ones that are not flat, hardwood. Many of us are here multiple hours a day in those chairs.”
KU Libraries respond: The forthcoming Learning Studio in Anschutz will feature new, comfy furniture. We’ll be previewing some of that new furniture this spring and summer.
“This is a great facility and has all and more than expected of a library. The staff is great and helpful.”
“I love that you are open 24 hours. You are my second family, my second home.”
“When I choose to come here vs. other campus libraries, the important factors are computer desk space and coffee hours.”
“Great job on saving energy!”
