A valid KU card, a KU Library Borrower Card, or a KU Library Proxy Card is required to check out materials. Click here to connect to the Online Catalog. Note: Individuals who are not affiliated with the University may be eligible to purchase a KU Library Borrower Card for $10.00. For information about eligibility and library privileges, please contact Jennifer Mellenbruch, Circulation Manager at (913) 897-8571 or jmellenbruch@ku.edu. On-Site Access Even when not authorized for borrowing privileges, users have on-site access to the University of Kansas Libraries, where many, but not all items in the collection can be accessed and read on the premises. All library users, regardless of affiliation, may use most library databases while visiting the KU Libraries. Items may be recalled online by accessing the online catalog or staff may assist you in placing a recall at the Regents Center Library. Long-term loan materials may be recalled immediately from any borrower. A notice will immediately be sent to the borrower, and the item must be returned within 14 days of the date on the notice to avoid a fine. Renewals Unlimited renewals may be made as long as the item has not been recalled. KU borrowers may renew an item online five times, and resident borrowers may renew online twice. Once you reach the online renewal limit, you must bring the item to a KU library for renewal. Reserve material may only be renewed from the library it resides. Renewal of materials by telephone, fax, or email is not currently available. Fines Fines on overdue items checked out may be paid at the Fines Office in the Watson Library on the Lawrence campus. The Regents Center Library will provide an addressed envelope for those who wish to mail their fine payment to the main campus. UPDATED FORM Printable reserve
