EndNote at KU

Installing EndNote

To download and install EndNote, visit technology.ku.edu/software/endnote and follow the instructions for Windows or Macintosh under Download EndNote.

Learning to Use EndNote

Instructional Services offers workshops on EndNote to the KU community; for details, see infotraining.ku.edu. PDF versions of workshop handouts are also available from that site (see the description page of an individual workshop for a link to its handout).

Importing References Into EndNote

It is possible to import references into EndNote from many information sources, such as library catalogs or bibliographic databases (like ArticleFirst, Expanded Academic ASAP, JSTOR, MLA International Bibliography, PubMed, Web of Science, and many others). This allows researchers to store the references they need quickly and easily, without cutting and pasting or retyping them. Directions for saving and importing references vary, depending on the information source.

Detailed instructions for importing references from databases are available online here and through Instructional Services.

Troubleshooting

If you have problems installing EndNote, contact the Help Desk (864-0200 or question@ku.edu), or if your computer is managed by LAN Support Services, contact them for help (864-0400 or lsshelp@ku.edu).

Once you've installed EndNote, additional help is available through Instructional Services (864-0410 or training@ku.edu) for troubleshooting related to importing, searching, and citing references using EndNote.

Troubleshooting and help information is also available on EndNote's web site at www.endnote.com/support.
