The novel comes to life on the big screen. "Housekeeping," directed by John Forsythe and starting Christine Lahit, has been hailed a beautiful and loving rendition of the novel. The screening is free and open to the public, no reservations or tickets are required, and is part of the month-long "Read Across Lawrence" series of events in partnership with the Lawrence Public Library.
