As Library Specialist, I assist the librarian for Spanish, Portuguese, Latin American and Caribbean Studies. Specifically, I teach research instruction sessions for several Spanish courses, design related online subject and course guides, process incoming Spanish and Portuguese book shipments, communicate with international book vendors, and occasionally curate book exhibits.  As Program Assistant for International Collections, I manage the service desk which provides reference and research services about international topics to KU students and the public. 

Special interests

Spanish and Portuguese.  Information literacy and research skills related to Spanish and Portuguese, Latin American and Caribbean Studies.  I am also interested in Spanish language pedagogy and the expanding use of digital media in the process of language teaching and learning.

Additional interests:  Guatemala and Kaqchikel.  Transition year from 12th to college freshman, specifically college readiness.
