Spahr Engineering Library closing for renovation

Spahr Engineering Library will close at the conclusion of the Fall 2014 semester due to construction. A massive renovation that is part of the LEEP 2 construction project will include expanded study areas, dedicated student group office spaces and a larger café.

  • Students will still have multiple places to study throughout the engineering complex during construction.
  • Information on other KU Libraries locations is available at lib.ku.edu/locations-hours.
  • Spahr Engineering Library collections and reserves will reside in Anschutz Library.
  • The remodeled Spahr Engineering Library is expected to reopen before the fall 2015 semester.

Regents Center Library at KU Edwards Campus

The transition to a new service model for the Regents Center Library is currently taking place and will be effective on January 1, 2015. The new model will replace the physical branch service model with a consultant librarian, as well as enhanced remote delivery services for electronic and current physical collections, to support faculty, staff and students on the Edwards Campus.

In this model, the existing small print collection has been removed from the library and access will be provided to electronic and physical collections from the Lawrence campus. A librarian will remain on the Edwards Campus to assist with teaching, research and learning needs.
