KU Libraries to host virtual data fair

Tuesday, September 30, 2014

KU Libraries will host a community broadcast of the bi-annual Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) Data Fair 2014 in Watson Library 455, October 6-9.

The Data Fair consists of a series of webinars highlighting specific datasets available through ICPSR, discussing possibilities for teaching with data, and orienting attendees to various data services available through ICPSR.

Scheduling information and descriptions for this year’s program, “Powering Sustainable Data Access,” are available in the Data Fair program. Note that the program displays the schedule for the Eastern time zone.

Webinars are free and open to the public. No registration is required. Recordings and slide decks, when available, will be placed on ICPSR's YouTube channel.

Those interested may attend part or all of the Data Fair. For questions, please contact Jamene Brooks-Kieffer, data services librarian, at jamenebk@ku.edu or by phone 785-864-5238.
