KU Libraries, in partnership with the KU Writing Center, will host a “Faculty / Staff Day of Writing and Research” on Friday, October 27, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Watson Library, fourth floor. “Believe in your Writing” is the theme for the fall 2017 session.
This full-day event will offer KU faculty and staff the opportunity for productive, quiet writing, as well as individual meetings with Writing Center consultants and libraries research specialists.
Specific support on the following topics will be provided at the identified times: GIS and mapping assistance, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with Rhonda Houser, GIS and data specialist; Endnote and Zotero, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with Paul Thomas, library specialist; Digital tools for research and publishing, 1 to 4 p.m. with Dhanashree Thorat, post-doctoral researcher; Publication contracts and open publishing, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with Josh Bolick, scholarly communications librarian.
