GIS and Data Lab
KU Libraries GIS and Data Lab supports data-related (geospatial, numeric, statistical) class projects, teaching and research at KU. We are located on the 4th floor of Watson Library in room 425, which is the sunroom across from the main staircase. Drop in and use the Lab whenever Watson is open (Hours). You can also set up a consultation with a staff member, and/or contact us with your research data and GIS questions. Many of the seven powerful workstations have two monitors, and one includes software and tools for digital humanities work. Software installed on other workstations includes:
- Adobe Design Suite Pro
- ArcGIS (plus local GIS data)
- Business Analyst (ArcGIS with specialized data & tools for market planning, territory design, marketing, etc.)
- Colectica Express
- DIVA GIS
- GoogleEarth Pro (demographic, parcel & traffic data, batch geocode, measure area & height)
- Sigma Plot
