Welcome to the Anschutz Library!

The whole building is open 24 hours from Sunday through Thursday when classes are in session.

When you enter Anschutz, you are on the 3rd floor. On this floor you will find computers, printers, a Jaybreak Café, and the Research Help and Circulation Desks. While you’re at Anschutz, you can request research help or ask other questions of the friendly and knowledgeable staff working at the third floor service desk.

On the 4th floor, you will find the Writing Center. The Writing Center provides assistance to students at all stages of the writing process. They offer face-to-face consultations, online appointments that can be conducted through text, audio, or video chat, and e-tutoring.

Anschutz is also home to the Thomas R. Smith Map Collection on the 1st floor. This is among the largest academic map collections in the United States.

You will find group study rooms on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors. To reserve a group study room, visit the library website, click on the Anschutz Library link, and then click the “Reserve a Group Study Room” button.

If you are looking for a quiet place to study, the north areas of the first and second floors are your best bet. You can also visit the David Beaham reading room, a quiet study area located in the east portion of the 4th floor next to the Writing Center. These quiet study areas are set aside for reading, solo computer work, and other quiet tasks.

There are public computers available on every floor which you can use to search the catalog for books, journals, videos, newspapers, and more and our online databases for scholarly articles. The computers are also loaded with software so you can write your papers and complete other projects.

Printing and copying costs eight cents per side for Black and White, and 48 cents for color. In a hurry and just need to print something before you run to class? Our quick print stations let you skip the login and get right to printing.

If you’re having any trouble with the technology, or have questions, please ask our helpful and friendly staff at the main service desk.

If you want to check out a book or DVD, the circulation desk is the place to go. From there, you can check out and return books, check out Anschutz reserve items, pick up on hold, or interlibrary loan items that you have requested from another library, check out laptops for four hour use in Anschutz, an e-Book reader, iPad minis, calculators, headphones, and voice recorders.

Anschutz Library offers private, gender-inclusive, ADA-compliant restrooms on the second floor. Nursing parents can also find a dedicated lactation room in Anschutz Library.

There is also a reflection room in Anschutz. This room offers a space for the purposes of personal reflection, meditation or prayer.

Thank you for watching! We hope to see you soon!
