Databases, Ejournals, and eBooks for eligible users.

WebRetrieve and Retrieve from Shelf (requests received during days closed will be processed beginning Tues., Jan. 3).

My Account (users will be able to renew eligible items and place or review requests).

ILL items borrowed from another library cannot be renewed online (patrons should send email to illborr@ku.edu or leave a message at 1+785-864-3960 to request renewals for ILL items).

Ecommerce will be available to make online payments for fines, fees, and lost book charges due at library (payments will be recorded in the library system beginning Tues., Jan. 3).

Request Processes

Requests placed by 8 a.m. on Thurs., Dec. 22 through Retrieve from Shelf will be filled for available items no later than closing time on Fri., Dec. 23.

Items will be available for checkout in Anschutz, Art, Music, and Watson until 5 p.m., Fri., Dec. 23.

Requests not filled by Fri., Dec. 23 or entered on days closed will be processed beginning Tues., Jan. 3.

Circulating items routed to Spencer Research Library will be available for checkout until 4:30 p.m. on Thurs., Dec. 22.

Items retrieved for use in Spencer Research Library’s Reading Room will be available until 4 p.m. on Thurs., Dec. 22.

Please Note Exception

Library system maintenance scheduled for Tues., Dec. 27, approximately 10 a.m. to midnight.

The following services will remain available during system maintenance:

  • Quick Search:  articles, the catalog, more … to search for library materials
  • Library website
  • Databases, Ejournals, and eBooks
  • Request Articles, Books, More (WebRetrieve to request items and articles)
  • Suggest a Purchase (Ask KU Libraries to Buy an Item)

The following services will not be available during system maintenance:

  • Library Catalog
  • My Account (Online Renewals)
  • Recalls
  • Retrieve from Shelf
  • TripSaver & Home Loan Delivery (via Retrieve from Shelf)
  • Annex Requests (via Retrieve from Shelf)
  • Ask KU Libraries to buy this books (purchase on demand)
  • Get at Spencer (Aeon) request link

Outdoor Book Returns

Throughout Winter Break, items will be retrieved and discharged based on date of placement in the outdoor book returns.
