KU Libraries book sale featuring art books and magazines scheduled for April

The University of Kansas Libraries will host a book sale in Watson Library’s third floor on Tuesday, April 7 through Thursday, April 9. About a third of the materials for sale will be art-related books and magazines.

The sale will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 10 p.m. each day. It is open to the public on Wednesday and Thursday. On Tuesday, patrons must have a KU Card in order to purchase books.

Hardcover books will be priced at $3, paperback books will be $1, and magazines will be $.25 each or 5 for $1.

Payments can be made with cash or Master Card or Visa credit or debit cards (no checks, please). On Thursday, bags of books and magazines will be sold for $5.

Proceeds from the sales will be used to purchase new books and electronic resources for the Libraries’ collections. Unsold books will be donated to Books for Africa, a non-profit organization dedicated to literacy programs in Africa.

For more information about the sale, please contact KU Librarian Lea Currie at 785-864-8997.
