Common Access Card Reader

A Common Access Card Reader hangs from the Common Access Card Computer Sign in Watson Library.

Military-affiliated KU Students can checkout and use Common Access Card Readers from the Anschutz and Watson service desks. The Common Access Card (aka CAC) Reader can be used at the CAC designated computer in Anschutz and Watson Libraries.

The CAC Reader checks out for 4 hours to be used at the library designated computer. Checkout time can be extended by request as needed. The CAC Reader enables multifactor authentication to access military and Department of Defense sites. The Common Access Card designated computer has the DoD certificates installed to enable the reader to access sites that require this authentication.
