Conservation Services at KU Libraries is responsible for the care and preservation of the Libraries' diverse collections, from books and manuscripts to audiovisual materials. The department is located in the Kenneth Spencer Research Library and serves all of KU Libraries.

Conservation Services strives to reach the following goals:

  • Ensure access to library materials
  • Perform high-quality conservation and preservation treatments and interventions
  • Maintain a high level of production
  • Increase visibility of preservation within the Libraries, the University of Kansas, the state of Kansas, and nation
