1K directions

  • Start at Watson Library (1) (1425 Jayhawk Blvd.) Take the sidewalk from the front steps that leads straight out to Jayhawk Blvd.
  • Cross the street at the crosswalk slightly to the left and proceed left down Mississippi St. You will see, on your left, the Spencer Museum of Art; the basement, which is accessible on the back of the building, is the Art & Architecture Library (2).
  • Cross the street and take the sidewalk between the Spencer and the parking area just north. Loop back around and take the sidewalk that passes through Marvin Grove. You will continue through this beautiful green space past the Campanile until you reach the Spencer Research Library (3) straight in front of you. From there, turn right on Memorial Dr. and continue.
  • Take the sidewalk just to the right of the Spencer and continue up between Strong and Snow Halls. Turn right on Jayhawk Blvd. and continue.
  • Veer left at the Chi Omega Fountain, then turn left down Naismith Dr. On your right you will pass the Spahr Engineering Library (4) — while the collection has been absorbed into Anschutz, there are still reference titles and study spaces available!
  • Turn left onto Hoch Auditoria Dr, then immediately take the sidewalk that veers to the right of this road. You will pass behind Murphy Hall on the right, which contains the Music & Dance Library (5), and then Anschutz Library (6) immediately on the left.
  • Continue up the hill behind Wescoe Hall and in front of Stauffer-Flint Hall. Cross the road back to Watson Library. Congratulations You've seen all our locations and hopefully have a better idea of the layout of campus. Be sure to take pictures and share with the hashtag #LaceUpKU!
