KU Libraries pause services on Friday, June 19, for reflection, healing and learning

The University of Kansas Libraries will pause all current services on Friday, June 19.

Library faculty and staff will be dedicating this day to reflection, healing and learning in conjunction with our recent recommitment of support to stand in solidarity with Black communities and advocate for necessary reforms. All employees will be dedicating their time this day toward continued personal learning, self-care, recovery, or engaged conversations around inclusivity, equity, and anti-racism. Individual growth is essential to our ability to evolve as an organization that can better combat systemic racism.

Current library service offerings will resume on Monday, June 22.
