KU Libraries announce changes for Spahr Engineering Library

The University of Kansas Libraries, in coordination with the School of Engineering, have initiated a reconfiguration plan for Spahr Engineering Library, including the reallocation of physical resources and spaces.

In recognition of collection usage trends and to allow for more efficient operations, the circulating collection of physical items currently located on Spahr’s second floor will be relocated to Anschutz Library and the Library Annex. 

A variety of services and resources will remain available onsite at Spahr Engineering Library as fall classes resume. The reference collection will remain on level one of Spahr, and KU Libraries will collaborate closely with engineering faculty to ensure the collection stays up to date. Retrieve from Shelf pick-up and equipment check-out will be offered onsite. The libraries will continue to partner with faculty in obtaining engineering materials for research consultations and in-class and online instruction.
