KU Libraries Dean Carol Smith and members of the leadership team presented the State of the Libraries Address on Thursday, March 21, 11 a.m.-Noon in Watson Library 3 West. In addition to reviewing the past year of achievements and initiatives by the libraries, Dean Smith also briefly previewed the libraries’ new strategic plan and offered a look ahead.

KU Libraries houses 5.6 million items in six campus locations and hosts 1.2 million visits per year. Carol Smith took the helm as dean of libraries in July 2023.
