ACS publications

Provides online full-text access to journals published by the American Chemical Society contained in two databases: ACS Web Editions and ACS Journal Archives.

Includes clinically oriented monographs on all U.S. drugs; off-label drug uses and dosages; thorough coverage of new and investigational drugs; hard-to-find drug information on IV admixtures and nutritional products; nutraceuticals, such as herbal products and trace elements. Cochrane library

A collection of databases that contain high quality evidence to inform healthcare decision-making, including systematic reviews, technology assessments, economic evaluations and individual clinical trials.

Google scholar

A web search engine that provides a way to search the scholarly literature including articles, theses, books, abstracts, and court opinions.  Sources include academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities, and other web sites.

Natural Medicines

Natural Medicines contains content from both Natural Standard and Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database. It is an authoritative resource on dietary supplements, natural medicines, and complementary, alternative, and integrative therapies. Features include evidence-based natural ingredient monographs, health & wellness monographs, evidence-based commercial products, interaction checker, nutrient depletion checker, comparative effectiveness, patient handouts, CE center, Natural MedWatch, and quick reference charts.

License requires all users authenticate with KU Online ID and password - including those on campus.

PharmacyLibrary

Features content from the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) textbooks, an interactive NAPLEX review, case studies, and news sources.

PubMed

Journal citations and abstracts collected from the life sciences literature from 1947 to the present. Over 4,800 journals are indexed in the areas of clinical medicine, biomedicine, and health care.
