Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion — Cultivating an inclusive campus community

We believe diversity and social justice are essential components for an inclusive campus community that enriches the experience for everyone. Therefore, we provide educational opportunities that engage faculty, staff, and students through dialogue, self-exploration, and advocacy in the context of a safe and respectful learning environment. Our programs affirm the identities and experiences of historically under-served and under-represented student populations at KU, which in turn enhances the retention and persistence of our students. Additionally, our programs support and uplift the entire KU community by encouraging cultural competency, inclusion, and empathy.

ADA Resources Center for Equity and Accessibility

We are so excited to have you join our community. We provide individuals with disabilities access to a wealth of campus and community resources, expertise on accessibility, employment accommodations, and offer a sense of community. The ADA Resource Center works to promote diversity and inclusion through fostering an open, accessible and inclusive learning and working environment. We strive to create and maintain a campus free of all barriers. ADA Resource collaborates with KU units to provide accommodations for faculty, staff, and student employees to coordinate accessibility compliance functions, provide training and technical assistance on the Americans with Disabilities Act, develop student, staff and faculty advocacy for campus-wide accessibility, and foster an inclusive community.

Watkins Health Services

Watkins Health Services operates an IMMEDIATE CARE CLINIC for employed KU faculty and staff.  Although Watkins Health Services primarily attends to students, University of Kansas employees have in the past and currently are entitled to use our services.
